Anybody here own a Winchester 1895 in cal 38-72?

    Greetings!
I own one and just wanted to see if anybody else does and what they think about it... I form my 38-72 brass from 405 brass. I have tried most, if not all of the 38-55 boolits out there and none feed quite right for me because of the flat point. I have tried a buffalo arms boolit but it still does not feed like the factory rounds I compare with. This is one I wont part with, it gives me the warm and fuzzies.

Go over to accurate molds and make a copy of the mold you’re trying to find. That’ll get you shooting in no time.

    Good morning
Accurate Molds is a very good solution to your need. Give them a call and a helpful person will recommend which one style duplicates the original. Then you will need to decide on diameter for you particular rifle. Remember if you are going to use smokeless to add diameter over groove. In caliber 38 rifles I am content with .0015 over groove. But if the bore is rough .002 plus a gas check for sure.
