I was stationed at NAS Lemoore in 1966, it was a hoot!! Checked out shotguns, rifles from Special Services and got to hunt Quail and shoot at muskrats.

Thoughts and prayers for you. Did 2 Med's, an IO, one S America, several others. Nothing like the peaceful sleep you get at sea, when you are not on watch. It was a great experience which I would not trade for anything. I really liked the food when we went ashore (everywhere but North Africa)! Navy chow gets a bit boring as you probably already know.

    Stay safe and thank you.
It's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years (Abe Lincoln)

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.” George Washington
