I think its the old style Challenger press without the quick die change bushing
Thank you!
...I kept finding references to the old style challenger (with some descriptions saying "sits at angle to bench face") but couldn't find a pic w/the descriptions.
Y'all have a good day.
Old LEE Challenger.
Good press.
I've had a few over the years.
challenger or sometimes known as a classic but challenger is the more comon name. i have 4 of em one was still in the box which was labeled challenger classic kit
BTW the new wood gripped roller handle update kit works on it but the benchplate does not and last i checked inline fabrication doesnt have a mount plate that fits it either
I have the newer version. Really like it a lot.
One round at a time.

The newer challengers have a steel linkage for the ram. The old ones have die cast aluminum. I'm not sure of your intended use, especially if you are looking at an Inline Fab Ultramount, but heavy duty large rifle case resizing isn't what that press was made for. To me, it's a pistol or small rifle case only press
Same press i have been using for 40 years back then it was just the lee single stage. I couldn't tell you how many tens of thousands of rounds its loaded if not in the hundreds of thousands i will admit that looks a bit better than mine. Its the only press i use to load ammo on i do have a couple others for other things but all my ammo is done on that old lee if it ain't broke don't fix it.and i must disagree i have loaded everything from 25acp to 30/06 and 8 mm formed cases and converted cases and through it all its still going.
I've loaded a lot of rounds and casted many bullets on one of those. I just bought the new version as well.
I don't know what Inline Fabrication Quick mounts are and don't feel like searching them.
Could you take one of there mounts and drill your own mounting holes?
Leo
Thanks for all the replies, guys. As usual, Castboolits is full of real help and knowledge.
Yes, they have a blank plate, for any press or vice, swage, etc, drill to fit. I went ahead and ordered their top plate for the Challenger, old style, angled, as well as 1 for my rockchucker, turret, and 550, as well as their flush mount receiver system.
