Just did a batch today. The grooves seem to hold more power coat than a smooth side bullet.

tumble lube designs are better than regular for powder coating cause they don't have a big grove that might obturate out in the barrel. only thing that didn't work for me is lee TL bevel base ones in shake PC the bevel gets irregular powder thickness and bumps and accuracy was bad.

PC on TL boolits work great

    TL356-124-2R in HF Red.

TL452-230-TC in Sherwin Williams Purple. Not great pigment coverage, but the polymer coverage is 100% and a $2/pound, the price was right.

As others have said, they PC great. I PC my 9mm ones then run them through the sizer. Shot around 500 so far in the Glock and have 2 thousand more on the shelf.

One thing about the TL bullets is it can take a keen eye to notice if the fillout is not perfect, well a keener eye than a GG bullet. But if you size them you will easily find any ones that were not filled out because they will be smaller and will go through the sizer a lot easier.

That's the same boolets I have.
Amazing what a difference 0.5 gr of powder make.
I just hope mines shoot as good.

I tried it, and they seem to shoot better that regular groove boolets.
I kind of wish Lee made them in more rifle calibers.

Like everyone else has said, they work fine. With PC, it would probably be ideal to have a booklet with no lube groove at all, but the tumble lube boolet comes close.
