    310 die advice requested

    Hello,

I recently acquired a partial set of 310 dies for my 41Magnum. I am missing both an adapter and a cast sizing die.

    My questions:
    1) What size adapter would I use for the 41Magnum case?
    2) Has a 0.410 or 0.411 cast expander been made for the 310 dies?
    3) From whom could I acquire the above parts?

Sadly, my 310 Tool Quick Reference chart doesn't show data for the 41 Magnum dies.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I remember the days with my 310 tool and all of my reloading equipment went into a cigar box.

I can still fit most of my reloading gear into a small tobacco warehouse.
Now I divide stuff into sub-sets for specific uses; these smaller sets are still often stored in wooden cigar boxes. Then I try to organize most of the rest into a large cabinet that was formerly used in a local hospital to store linens. The problem is, I get out some of the "stored" stuff to use and it never seems to get put away properly. Finding a specific tool or accessory is always a challenge.

So I will just cut to the chase!
A Lyman 310 tool does not use a shell holder. It uses an adapter. The Adapter grips the body of the case near the case head, but not the rim. So any case which is the same diameter in front of the rim is a good candidate to try.
The normal shell holder can be used to find likely candidates for the priming chamber.
Rant over. Let’s not get too complicated here.
