No I think that rumor started with UPS guys that deliver our ammo and bullets.

Lets not forget the Winchester short mags and anything weatherby. The short mags burn out the throat like a Old.264 win mag and the weatherby's get so hot the third shot is no where near the first two.

How about the .224 Valkyrie? I'm still not really sure what the point is.

OVERRATED CARTRIDGES? Anything with WSM, SAUM, or .17 attached to the advertising hype.

P.O. Ackley said the 6.5X55 was the only cartridge he never tried to improve, as it was perfect as it was.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

Hang on, there's now a 22 Creedmoor. Yup, it's nothing more than a 22-250 AI with a long throat and fast-twist barrel. My e-mail from Ballistic Products claims they are selling the brass for it.

Most overrated cartridge! Well I think most people overrate their shooting and hunting skill and try to make up with whatever cartridge they think will make up the difference. When it comes to hunting and shooting it's

    Safety 1st!
    Then accuracy,
and if hunting, proper bullets for terminal performance.

Cartridges themselves are way overrated, my brother is a dedicated bow hunter and doesn't use guns much.
10 gauge: as per Robert Ruark, "use enough gun"
