    Ruger MK IV

I recently ordered a Ruger MK IV Target.
I was in a Coastal store yesterday looking for a Weaver style base for it.
The guy behind the counter said it will come with the base.
Anyone here that has bought the MK IV get a base with the gun?....dale

My grandfather has a Mark 2 or 3 22/45 and it came with a scope base. I think they’re including a weaver/tip off scope base with the 10/22 and pistols now.

When I purchased my MK IV hunter it DID NOT come with a scope base. Your target may but mine didn’t. If yours doesn’t come with a rail I would recommend the Tandemkross rail it’s shorter than the original Ruger one and looks fantastic.

A little eye candy, great purchase you absolutely will not regret it they’re a wonderful firearm and the takedown is significantly nicer than the older models.

+1 on Tandemkross. They have all kinds of awesome accessories for Ruger and Browning rimfires.

My Ruger Mark IV, which I bought new, did not come with a base-- but it does have tapped holes for mounting.

My target model did come with a base, but I'm actually going to use a Burris FF2 with a base that replaces the rear sight! I love the newly designed takedown of the 4!

My hunter did not come with one. It did have inserts for the front sight.

Exactly what I did. I love it. I got the hunter model and love it. I need to remove the right ambi safety as it digs into my hand/finger, but you will love the Burris on there.

The 22/45 lite and tactical models come with a sight rail pre installed I don’t know about the steel frame versions.

Those all steel Rugers are heirloom pieces for sure. Fine looking pistol.

The base did not come with the gun.
They do not seem to be available anywhere.
I tried to order one directly from Ruger.
    It`s on backorder...dale

I had originally ordered a ruger one that was back ordered as well, that was when I cancelled mine and purchased the TK rail instead. Decided I wanted to keep the rear sight on it and liked the shorter rail anyways.

I got my backordered base from Ruger yesterday.
I also bought 2 of those magazine loaders for the MK series mags.
So, I am assuming that the Ruger bases are once again available...dale

Got a MK III Hunter and it came with Weaver style base......
