    Cast Boolits for someone...

I have roughly 40-50 each sized and lubed Boolits. They are from an unknown alloy, that I can scratch with my thumbnail, and are the 500gr Gov’t roundnose and the 385gr roundnose profiles- both are cast from Lyman molds, as far as I can tell.

Anyway- I’d just like to give them to a .45-70 shooter. Please only accept if you plan to use them. I’d rather them not go to a person looking for a couple pounds of free lead.

I finally obtained a feedback post!

I have a Trapdoor that I enjoy shooting. If your Boolits are sized to .459-.460 I'd enjoy giving them a try. Anything smaller than .459 just don't group worth a darn.

I just measured a couple with a caliper and they’re in the .458-.459 range. I’m thinking they were probably sized in a .458 lube die.

My gun likes a fat boolit, and these are just a shade skinny for me to use with any success.

Hi tinhorn, I can use these in my H&R trapdoor, If I have to I can always paper patch them
to size. But my H&R trapdoor has the .457 dia bore. They should work at .458-9 OK.
    PM sent
