1889 Trapdoor Carbine came home with me

A close friend from the gun club died, will be 2 years in May, and I helped his widow appraise his guns for sale. She had pretty good luck selling them but decided to send the last of them to auction. She called and asked if there were any of the guns left that I wanted to buy. I asked if she still had the Trapdoor carbine, she said yes, the rest is history. My Trapdoor rifle was also made in 1889. The bonus was that the carbine came with belt and boot that attaches to the saddle ring on the carbine stock. According to my book it is authentic as near as I can tell. Now have to get an original cartridge box. Will write a report after I get to range next week.

The carbines are the coolest looking Trapdoor and usually command the highest prices. My standard rifle was also made in 1889.
