Alternatives to Standard Powders 2020 edition

    2020 vs 2013 .

Here we find ourselves in another shortage situation for all sorts of components. powders are mostly gone again, and primers are MIA. Just wondering if folks have tried or learned anything on alternatives for powders ..

As for me, I still have several jugs of Alliant 410 left over from the last powder shortage and still have no ideas on using it for other stuff like handgun or even rifle. It is positioned on the burn rate chart to be close enough to 2400 to make it a likely substitute but no info at all on its suitability.. I would love to use it like I do other shotgun powders..

anybody else have newer info on substitutes they have worked out??

I've never used it, but the 2nd post in this thread, Wiljen offers some interesting info about it.
