I had loaded up several different loads in 32 S&W Long, 32 H&R, and even 38 Super using Rem 1-1/2 SPP. Yesterday I noticed many of these primers in the 32 loads were pierced. The 32 S&W Long loads were less than 2 grains of Bullseye behind a 98gr Speer HBWC. The 32 H&R loads were using 231 and a 95 gr Cast Performance FN bullet. Both loads were fired in two different Single Sevens and they equally had pierced primers. The guns are not the problem. No pierced primers were found when firing 327 Magnum loads using CCI 550 primers with 296 behind 100gr XTP bullets or factory loaded 100gr Speer Gold Dots. I should also note that none of the 38 Super loads using the Rem 1-1/2 SPP showed pierced primers. The 38 Super loads used Accurate #7 powder with 124, 125, and 147 grain bullets.
Seems strange to me. Anyone else have a similar experience?
