Me too! I'm just up the road in Lynchburg and have a slide that needs a good dip!

Doyle's gun shop, 208-686-1006. He has been doing my blue jobs for the past 20 years. When I first met him he was doing 40-60 blue jobs a week.

Thanks, John. I was hoping for someone a little closer though.

I have hot blued on a Coleman stove with salts I bought from Brownells did it in a rectangular bred pan. Once we got the mix where it looked like thin mashed potatoes at a slow boil it did a beautiful job.
It was the receiver and bull barrel from a Ruger 22 semi pistol so it was easy to polish , it looked great for the next 20 years when it stolen. You might read up on blueing it was not to hard. Metal prep is key to a. Good job.

I know that 2dogs on here does hot blueing. The sights that he makes look very nice.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

I’m hoping to get one slide (for a Para Ord 45) blued, and at my age am not likely to do more such jobs. I would hate to pay for the bluing salts for just this one job...
