    I have handled that Bowen revolver, but I declined the privilege of firing it. This, after Hamilton spent five minutes regaling me with stories about how everyone who had fired it paid in blood. A beautiful gun, to be sure.

    If you are looking at Freedom, the Model 83 is a 5 hole cylinder, the 97 is a 6 hole. I don’t think they make the 97 in 44 mag, but I could be wrong. So the Model 83 becomes a 4 shot if you don’t want one under the hammer, though they do have a half cock safety.
