they are still ''W A R M''
Size em before the paint/coating has a chance to cure...

I've never had a problem sizing weeks or months later.

Put a spring around your push post and you won't have to guide the cast with your fingers. Just drop it on the post and size away.
If you use the red container to collect them, put a large rubber band around the container and it won't pop off and spill the fresh sized casts to the floor when you are distracted.

That spring idea looks pretty slick.
Or you could invert your press and drop your bullets directly into the die.
That spring idea looks pretty slick, guess I'm going ACE tomorrow.

An excellent idea os ok and I like creating things with springs. Thanks, should save a finger or two. Never liked the red container setup so I mounted my press to the wall, mounted a bracket to hold a small Dillon style bin and mounted a spring that kicks the sized bullet into the bin when it clears the die.

You should be able to pick up your pace a tad, maybe get the sizing done a wee bit sooner now.
I had a metamorphosis going with my equipment as I kept trying to speed this sizing business up a bit...

I don't size bullets that haven't cooled. If you size a bullet to 430 and its still hot its going to end up smaller when it cools. personaly ive never had a problem with sizing pc bullets. as a matter of fact I do it all on an upside down lee hand press mounted to the bench and we all know they are the most sturdy units and don't have a lot of leverage advantage. Id said never but I did have problems trying to take some 314s down to 309 on a single pass . I ended up running them bare through my star with a 312 die then coated them and ran them through the lee sizer and there was a bit more resistance then most others but sure not enough to make it tough. I also do all my gas checked bullets in two passes the first one bare to seat the check then I coat bake and size again.
