is imr4227 any good in 30-06

its the powder I have the most excess of from loading 44 and I see my manual has spotty data for it under 30-06, is it as good as 2400 in the 06? anything I should know about it, im assuming no filler, specifically im trying to get a good load for 311284 type bullet around 1900 and would be nice if this worked but I do have others

I've shot a lot of 4227 in the 06, it is a little position sensitive so you may want to use a filler although I don't.
Most of my shooting is from a bench any more so I single load to keep the powder toward the rear of the case.

I've used many 8-pounders of this powder, mostly in '06, for 03A3 in military bolt shoots. Twenty-one grains under a RCBS 30-180-SP, SAECO #301, 311299, and a few others works wonders at 100 yards for bench matches. Velocity is around 1650.

And, it won't beat you to death!
