    I wonder.....

I have a freechex II or III that I make .45 gas checks with. One day while feeling froggy I put a few on my .44 boolits and they did wonderfully. It made me wonder if I could center one on my Lee .309 sizing die, and come up with something that looks like a half jacket ( or a bit less)...I haven't tried it yet, but I know the time is coming.....

I finally made one, and it did not do as hoped. I also tried some copper Hornady checks, they didn't do well either. But I HAD to find out for myself......

This is how we lean by trial and error, a man who has never made a mistake has never made anything. Regards Stephen
