    .462 Dia ?? HELP

OK I do some home brew swagging
    Mostly for my 358 Win

But today I was given 2 mostly full 5 gallon buckets of 45 ACP cases that are Bredan primed along with a number of other 5 gallon buckets with other brass
All sorted , I just need to get my self started making bullets and Shooting them LOL

I am first planning on turning out 350 - 450 gr bullets for the 45/70 and 458 Win Mag

I have the tumbler full of 45 ACP cases right now

And I will heat them so I can reduce the cases to a usable size before trimming

But I normally use push through type sizer for the first step

But I only want to make 1 of the dies to turn the brass into a usable size
So what ID of the ( Lee Type ) first step sizer be ??
I know there will be spring back , but for the .358 bullets it took 3 tries to get it right
I hate redoing stuff any more

I do that same thing but with regular dies.
I’ve refined my technique a bit more though.

Thanks ... I will read it later

Do you score the insides of the case ?
As I plan on doing that

I will be doing that before I put the lead in ... a sort of screw up and I made the die to score the cases a touch larger than I should have
As I am planning on a .459 dia finished bullet

I don't score the cases although I do media polish them after annealing although that probably isn't even necessary, just makes them look prettier.
That core isn't going anywhere until it hits the target.
If you follow my post step by step, you can make good boolits at .459" and refine the process as you like.
What you want to do can largely be accomplished with a propane torch, one 243Win. die, and a steel punch (maybe even an oak dowel) to knock the boolit out of the die.
