    I realized today, I need a .410 mold

I do t shoot my 41’s much. But my pop gave me back a Riger 3acrew and Marlin lever I gave him some years ago.

SO, gonna shoot them a bit for ol times sake. I was looking cause I was sure I had a SWC 210g... But I dont!

I have had good luck with the two cav LEE molds. Can anyone advice on this? I dont think I need invest in a better mold for this one as I doubt it will get allot of use.

I use the Lee 410-195-SWC to save a little lead and for light target/tin can loads.

But the mould that gets the most use , because of the accuracy it gives is
NOE # 413 - 215 - WC-PB . It's an accuracy sleeper , can be cast hollow point or solid , used for defense or target loads.

I have several SWC's (Keith type) , even one made by NOE , but for some reason the Wadcutter mould has always out grouped the others and that generous flat point hits hard...with or without a hollow point.

You can't fully get the benefits of a 41 magnum unless you cast and reload for it. 41 Special type loads are very useful and fun to shoot .
My avatar is my favorite shooter , a model 58 S&W in 41 magnum. I like it so much I made it my avatar.
You just might discover the 41 magnum can occupy a big space in your shooting with some casting and handloading ....I did !

Not to kill your question but here is a thread discussing 41 mags that might help.

    And another on reloading 41's

I have a MP 413640 4 cavity that drops 215's solids to 205's depending on which HP pin you use. It works in my BH and Henry rifle very well.

I use the Lee two cavity tumble-lube mould with my Ruger 3-screw 41 Mag. It works just fine for me, with less than full power loads.
I also found a discontinued Lee single cavity plain base 240gr SWC mold, it has the standard grease grooves.

When I'm feeling spunky, I load up some Lyman 210gr SWC, this mold is gas-checked.

They all work very well, just depends what you want.

A SWC may or may not cycle in that Marlin? ...But a RF style boolit should.
There is currently a Group buy (with Arsenal molds) for a 220gr RF
One more person to sign up, and it'll go to the "To Be" machined list, so it won't be a long wait.

Ebay can be a good place to look for used molds--
Lee 240 SWC is a good one
Lee 210 tumble lube is good--
RCBS 210 SWC, Lyman .410459... or NOE remake of it.

Mountain Mold and make your own...to fit your Marlin

I have the Lee 210 SWC Tumble lube design mould. Used in my 41 Blackhawk it works as well accuracy wise as my other 41 moulds that cost much more. I shoot a lot of them over 7gr, of TiteGroup powder coated. Good place to start the 41 mould collection and very reasonably priced. Gp

I would advise buying a mould soon. Lyman has stopped making all .410 moulds and that's not a good sign.
The political climate may change and Lord knows what new restrictions will be heaped upon us.
I got several several discontinued Lyman .410's off Ebay , Ordered two of Lee 's moulds and bought two Noe moulds , I'm not going to get caught short this time .

I've managed to acru 9 different 41 cal moulds.... I don't need any more but now I got a collection going !
