    A forgotten item!!!

Well, sometimes it pays to look in your stash of stuff!!! Look here what got put in the corner of the building about 25+ years ago. This was my Dad’s first, and only, progressive reloader. I cut my teeth on this thing, boy was it a step up from single stage!! Just thought I’d share a piece of reloader history! Gonna dust it off and see if I remember how to shift a standard! Hahaha!

I had to chuckle some, because the manual for the press reads” The Dillon RL450JRC model.”

Thanks,Rancher!! I forgot how to post photos, I guess! In my reloading experience this was an important step. Both .38’s and some .44’s were reloaded on this old machine!

My father started us down the Progressive Reloading pathway with the same press about 10 years or so earlier than that. Of course it could not by any stretch of the imagination be called a reloading HAND TOOL but like you I used his often when I wasn’t using my 310 tools and such. Dad is gone now, but in the early’90s he did the step by step upgrade Dillon offered back then until he replaced the frame for the one with interchangeable tool heads and had a great bench mounted press that I still have and use occasionally.

Looks like it should serve as well as when it was new. Thanks for sharing and enjoy!
