Thumbs down UP-DATE----From lovely ☘️ Shamrock Green to 🤢 Bilious Green

    see last post for update

Back in the day when I was excited about all the various colors in which PC comes I ended up with 3 lbs of green in different shades--all in search of the elusive Zombie Green.

Yes, I did find the Z Green but needed to deal with the other 2 lbs of 'less than perfect color' powder.

I finally decided to use nothing but one of the lesser greens (not related to the Lesser Antilles) until I had used it up. Then I could move on to the wonderful reds, blues and a plethora of all sorts of hues by way of mixing the primary colors.

This is taking a great deal of time . . . and would try the patience of Solomon--from Shamrock green I began to see the color as something from the 8th level of Hell . . . and finally it arrived at Bilious Green--a color I can only experience with an empty stomach for fear of losing my lunch should I have feasted beforehand.

So let this be a cautionary tale and learn from my shortcomings: too much of any one thing (color in this case) is a bad, bad thing

I was also fascinated with the plethora of new and exciting colors of powder coat. Over the course of time I became bored and disenchanted with some of them. Since I use only PC from Smoke, I created the "bag of despair" where I dumped all of the colors I was tired of and created my very own sickly shade that I call "SWAMPWATER".

I bought a pound of smoke’s yellow green, which I thought was going to be zombie green. It didn’t do anything for me. It just looked like a dull green. Then I did some with a coat of the green followed by a coat of gloss black. The green peaking through the black looked like zombie green, but by itself it just looks green to me. I was thinking about getting some yellow and mixing it.

I have used the green powder up! Angles sang, birds twittered and all is right in the world.

Have gone to copper color and happy to see something different in the #5 bowl.

Have gone thorough at least a 300 lbs of lead doing 32s--45 Colt.

now I can mix and match each time it comes to adding a bit more powder. changes the color slightly which keeps my ADD from kicking in.

life is good but hot and humid along the Tex Gulf Coast.

Jet Black is one that's not my favorite by itself. Now, blending it with some of the other colors brings some really intriguing colors.

Good way to break out of the hundrum.

I have been mixing jet black with white for a granite/concrete looking grey. I think it is my favorite so far.

I bet that looks cool. Here is one of my favorites. Smokes white aluminum mixed with a trifle of Jet Black. I like it because it looks like, well, lead!

Compared to Smoke’s powder everyone else’s product is just imitation.

    Thank you Smoke!
