Has anyone tried PC bullets in 6mm ?

Was wondering if anyone has tried PC coated bullets in any 6mm cartridges? Was thinking 243 win and the 6x45 using the Lyman 85gr Loverin type bullet.
If I have place this in the wrong furom would Moderater move it to correct one.

My opinion is it depends on bullet fit and barrel twist. So, a 1 in 9 about about 1900 fps +/- 100 fps. A 1 in 8 twist good luck getting over 1600 fps. I havent reloaded for a 1 in 10 but i would imagine i should be able to hit upwards 2200fps or more.

I've used the RCBS 95 grain Sil in my grandson' s 700 youth 243, pc'd with Smoke's powder. They were plenty accurate at 25 yards with 8.5 grains of 700x. I've not shot any at high velocity or longer distances though.

The dearth of quality 6mm molds has kept me from exploring but I had decent work with a herters 100gr spirepoint in a 257 Roberts as well as several 6.5mm bullet molds in multiple 6.5 caliber rifles. I don't push my PC cast loads over 2100fps and my spirepoint cast bullets, I'm learning do better at Squib velocities of around 1600fps.
I Cast my Boolits, Therefore I am Happy.

Was hoping for at least 2200 fps.

if i were to pick a 6mm bullet for the .243 Win i would choose this one: http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product...ce84fegr0auca2

Can't go wrong with some made for that caliber by Al.

I don't coat the boolits but my wife's Mossberg 243 loves the 87. gr Loverin style boolits from an old Lyman mold. The load is 11.3 gr of Unique

Finally made it to the range. This load constantly gave me 2 inch groups at 100 yards. Not the best but it is a start
