    Ruger rear sight blades

Twice in the last month, I have pulled one of my ruger revolvers from its case only to find one of the tabs on my adjustable sights broken off. These guns have had no rough handling. When the first one broke, I bought two replacements, so it is not a big deal. I guess I will have to order four this time. Has anybody tried the rear sights made by Hamilton Bowen? I may be looking for a change.

Do they appear to be more durable? Can you get them without the white outline?

Yes quite durable the as far as I know the rough country only comes with the white outline for me thats a pulse They also make a Target style
that you may like I did lose a set screw once but that was my fault I did not use locktight set them a Email asked if i could buy a replacement told me they would send me a few out no charge just so you know if you do order one the first one took about 5 weeks to get
the second on was about 6 days

What model gun is this happening on? I have Ruger SAs 50+ years old and a 22 S-6 and SBH have had some rough use and carry time and never had sight issues. Is it something common to New Models? I bought BH 357
with no back sight in 80s and picked up a Millet sight at a show for it. It's held up well also. I don't own it now but a buddy does and he is hard on guns.

Yes there is a spring. The sight blade is a little tricky to install, but not real bad. First time it happened on a single seven. Today it was a gp100.

Try a Bowen rear sight for your gun, end of problems. White outline goes well with white stripe on front sight.

Bowen sights can take a long time to ship. Months even. A lot depends upon their stock and vendors who help supply the stuff. But if you ordered from Bowen, they are reliable. Remember, it's a small shop/business.

I got mine from him a few years ago. I'd call him directly and place your order that way. It worked form me and he's a good guy to talk to about guns.
