I have a friend with a Ruger muzzle loading cap and ball pistol that is missing a few parts. I think it is called Ruger old army pistol. It is missing a few parts, the hammer and some screws and springs. Is there any place to find older Ruger parts, or someone who might have some setting around. I may have a chance to get ahold of it if I can find the parts. Thanks in advance, the toolman.

...........A few years back a guy in Great Britain for whom I'd made a couple size dies PM'd me asking if I could find a loading lever for him. Not even thinking about it I said "Sure". Holy Cats, it was a PITA and I soon realized they were very few and far between. IIRC I was directed to a fellow that was making some of the parts that a guy with some machine tools could make. At this late remove I haven't a clue as to who he/it/they were

Ruger recently ran a very small batch of Old Army revolvers for a distributor. Last I heard, they DO have some parts on hand. Give them a call.
