    WTB Weaver #2 side base

    Everything I read says this is the base that fits the Savage 219, which I have one a prior owner drilled and tapped for a side mount. Anyone have one for sale of trade?

    side base???? the 219 was the daddy of the 24 its a single break down cant have side base
    what are you putting it on

    It's a 219 and it was drilled and tapped for a side base. Common enough, I have a .22 Hornet one done the same way, talks a Weaver #2 base, figured I'd ask before buying a new one.

    Bad news- I’ve got # 1, 3, 3A, 3B and so on for a hundred plus weaver bases but alas no #2.
    I ran a small rural gunshop before 2000, so lots of leftovers.
