    Howard's wood wax.

while using this Howard's wood-n-feed wax on a workbench top,I see this stuff is a mix of beeswax carnuba wax and orange oil.Anyone ever tried or had an idea of this wax as a lube ingredient?

May want to test to see if it is going to encourage rust due to the citric content. Might be only enough added to make it smell good and think it has a purpose in the blend. Is it cost effective? Dusty

Maybe start 50-50 LLA and Howards and a pinch of baking soda to neutralize the citric acid? At 9 bucks for a 16 oz bottle it would be a cheap enough test. It has some solvents in it as it has ventilation and flammable warnings on the bottle.

I don’t think there is anything in there to cause rust.
I use it to wipe down many of my rifles - stocks and metal - and haven’t had any issues.
Apply it with a cloth, let the rifle sit overnight and then buff out with a clean soft cloth.
It is a nice product for that I think.
