    Lyman Universal Case Trimmer chuck wont take .45 Auto Rim brass

    I bought this trimmer in the early 70’s . I cant get .45 AR brass to chuck up (rim is too thick) in the universal chuck .
    Anybody else have this problem ? Is there a easy remedy ?

    Loosen up the nut on the back side of the chuck, pop the tapered shaft loose and turn the tapered shaft ccw (I think or was it cw) to get the chuck to open up more and re-tighten the nut. May take some trial and error to get your brass to work right.
