    revolver range box

I am thinking about putting together a nice wooden range box for a revolver of mine. Has anyone made one before? What all did you include in it and what did the design look like. I am thinking something along the lines of for storage to and from the range as well as for maintenance all while keeping a very clean and traditional looks.

    Thanks

Pachmayer for years used to sell a pistol box that held about 6 revolvers and pistols. Well built and you could mount your spotting scope on the box. I have three old night vision boxes and saved the old packing foam and with a sharp knife you could stick 6 revolvers or pistols two each in each box. Lately went to Lowes and bought the biggest nylon tool kit bag and that will hold 5 revolvers or pistols, spotting scope with tripod, ammo, stapler. staples, ammo and targets. The handguns usually go in a soft carrying case. Frank

1950 wants it's ideas back. next thing you'll want to build a towable range house on skids for the back pasture, and then you'll need a small farm tractor to tow it...

I have a Pachmayer and used it for pistol bullseye from the mid 60's through the 80's and I still have it and it still is unblemished using it all those years.
It would be well worth the effort to find one. They were well made.

One of the NRA reloading books has an article and plans. I think it was the NRA Handloaders guide, will look in the morning.

Sounds like a perfect reason to buy more power tools.
