Sounds like you may be a moonshiner!
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

    nope! totally legit

I am from the Ozarks, been shooting & hunting since I was a youngster(almost 50 yrs), reloaded some 20 yrs ago, just got back into it. Mainly bottle neck rifle cartridges. I have a keen interest in trying black powder rifle cartridges, maybe 45-70? I have a good supply of CCI 200 & 250 primers, trailboss, Goex FF, IMR4350, H4895, low recoil is good.

    thanks for the warm welcome!

From one hillbilly to another, welcome aboard. As others have said this is a great site to hang out, to learn more than you know now about everything shooting. Heck, you might even learn a bit about good things to eat and how to prepare it!
From what you currently do in the shooting arena and what you want to do more of, I'd say with some certainty you will fit right in.

Welcome aboard. I think you'll enjoy hanging out here.

I do. I even gave up my goat yoga class to spend more time on the site.

    .45-70 is a big favorite.
I like it, however; it did take a little head scratching to figure out which end of it is more dangerous than the other.
