    Marlin 1895 GBL 45/70

Ok so been playing with a couple different loads for this gun and think I've found my favorite so far. I'm shooting a Missouri bullet 405gr buffalo coated with 54gr of 4064 seated at the crimp groove 2.530 with a decent crimp. These are putting one hole groups at 50 yards planning on stretching them to 100 and maybe playing gong at 200.https://photos.app.goo.gl/h369hptFyTABdwB46

Tried to post a pic not sure if it's able to be seen but it's of the target with 13 rounds put into it.

    I'd be happy with that.

Out of respect for the boolits I changed my shooting posture which led to the top right grouping I was holding the front forearm of the rifle in the others the top left I used my normal posture of letting the rifle rest and using my left hand at the butt of the rifle to steady and fire.

Is this one of the newer Remlins that many seem to be dissatisfied over? My Remlins including my GBL and CBA have all been stellar.

Yes it is got it off the assembly line around June of last year. I've had zero issues with it. Also just bought a rem 700 long range ss 300 Rum that shoots beautiful and seems very well made the bolt was a little stiff/ tight the first 100 rounds on the 700 but it's loosened up a little now b

That'll work, my old (1975) microgroove 45-70 shoots the Remington 405 JSP so well I never tried anything else. Now that I have an 1895CB I need to start shooting some cast bulets at more sedate speeds.
