    Another source that I use instead of propane tanks are refrigerant tanks from automotive garages or helium tanks for stores with the mylar balloons these are no refillable and are just discarded when empty

    That's what a steel "washer shaped " piece of metal that fills the gap between the pot and the stainless steel surround is for forcing the heat to the pot.
