Is anyone currently making one? Closest thing I could find is Rossi, but discontinued.

The Rossi is a good one if you find it. We have a Matched Pair .22/.410 and it's been flawless. Quite accurate, too.

There's a brand new Rossi youth matched pair .22/.410 for sale on Gunbroker.
There's also the Chiappa Little Badger & Little Badger Deluxe with wood stock.
TC Contender, but it won't be cheap, but with a match chamber barrel it will be scary accurate.
I think nef and H&R made handi rifles in 22 long also.
.
I bought a NOS Contender look-alike T/C Hot Shot .22 for my youngest Grandson.

Pietro, I have looked at those quite a lot over the last few years but found no one who actually owned one. How does it shoot, accuracy wise? The Chipmonk Cricket rifles are very accurate, cloverleaf at 25 accurate. Have always wondered about the TC.

T/C Contender would be the way to go
kids that hunt and fish dont mug old ladies
Got Contender, 10inch and 21inch barrels. Those Hot shots are aluminum frame and really light and sorta tiny. Just plumb CUTE

I've had 2 of the L'il Badgers, great triggers and really accurate once you learn how to hold them. I also had 2 of the NEF 22/410 Versa-pacs. They are accurate to and send the empties flying about 10 feet behind u when action is opened, i like the fact you dont hafta pluck them out. I have 1 left, if your interested, send me a PM. Todd/3eg

One day I may make one. I have owned at least a half dozen M48 H&R shotguns and they have a simple firing pin thru the receiver and could be either plugged and re drilled or a offset pin made to fire a rimfire barrel installed as a liner.
I recently bought a real nice M 48 in 16 ga. For very little and have several 22 cal. Centerfire barrels laying around so will it be a 22 mag or a regular 22 LR ?

Well dang I was hoping for something cheaper than T/C!!! Oh well, means I don’t want it bad enough
I found a Traditions Crackshot break open .22 rifle with a 16.5" barrel at Impact Guns.
They offer both adult & youth models.
The Traditions website shows it:--->>> https://www.traditionsfirearms.com/category/crackshot

I got a Little Badger from a friend in a Horse trade deal last year.
Fun little gun
I am modifying it a bit to make into a Survival rifle of sorts by adding a Pistol grip and modifying the wire frame stock to hold more than just an ammo carrier.
