ID:	235000Use this bullet and Leverevolution powder. I am shooting my new to me 1949 Marlin 336 SC 30-30. This bullet of COWW + 2% tin and gas check weighs 200 grains. I was able to work up to 2135 fps and a 1” group at 50 yards. Start with the 160 grain load on the can reduced by 10% and work up. This beats the famous 303 Savage 190 grain load by over 200 fps.

2135 fps. I assume that's Canadian, with the exchange rate what would that be U.S.?

Should be able to get two with one bullet if you get em lined up just right .

Would the base of that boolit extend below the neck/shoulder junction of the 3030?

That sounds like a heavy boolit for a 30-30, but I’ve always loved heavy boolits!

The gas check is below the neck/shoulder junction. No ill effects, there is lots of powder room and the load is very accurate.

In his "Winchester 94" book, Sam Fadala (think I spelled that right ? ) wrote about heavy .30-30 loads. He was a fan.

That is very close weight and bearing surface to the RCBS 180 FN. Should be a thumper.

It would be a good one for 30-06 as well.

Leverevolution makes it a 30-30 Super. It's a very good powder the cartridge. Larry Gibson posted good thread on the powder and cal. a while back. I'm a fan.

Fantastic load and the LVR powder is by far the best for the 30-30. I loaded a Hawk 190 grain J-word with that powder and it was very very accurate and a real stout load. But mild recoil wise in the Henry a Brass Big Boy wildlife limited edition.

Hadn't considered going that heavy. I have an original Ranch Dog for my Marlin which is around 175gr ready to load and shoots excellent with BLC2. Might need to aquire another heavy bullet mold.

I don’t usually need much of an excuse to buy a new mould but you won’t regret this one. It shoots very good and the LVR powder really makes it shine!

. Leverevolution is also great for the 35 Rem with Speer 220 grain FP and heavy cast like the Saeco #352/ Accurate 245S.

I use 24 grs, of AA2520 under the NOE 311299 bullet, sized to .311 gas checked
with a pinch of dacron on the powder, Gives about 1800 fps. Nice accurate load
in my old Savage 340/30/30. I find that AA2520 is like a ball version of 4895.
Found load in Lee's 2nd edition of modern reloading, under the 190 gr lead
bullet listing. Just start down a couple of grs, and work up from there.

Very cool Goshawk! I just got a new to me Marlin 30-30, not quite as vintage as yours but Im not complaining about mine. Ill be loading for mine here soon.
Go look for a 361-230F on Accurate mold site. Im shooting that monster in my 35 Remington 336.
    It shoots great!
