Except for the shotgun ones, I've never reloaded ammo on a Lee Loader. I have a few sets of them, guess one day I'll have to get one out and give it a whirl.
My BIL loaned me one to get me started on 38sp back in the early 80s. I was a dirt poor college student and bought lead swc and primers 100 at a time. Anyone care to guess what powder? U got it. 1# lasted me a long time.
The used model 28-2 (highway patrol 5”) is still my go to for slow fire accuracy.
Stronger, Prouder and Greater!
I started out with them. 9mm and 45acp. It got old fast lol. My arthritis couldn't handle the hammering.
Same here. My first metallic reloading was done for a 222 with a whack-a-mole.
Agreed.. I do want to find them in shotgun at a reasonable price to get my son started. I started on a shotgun loader, and reloaded many a shell with them. Kinda lead me to the load all... still got a few of those... and use them for all my slug loading...
Any technology not understood, can seem like Magic!!!
I will love the Lord with all my heart, all my soul, and all my mind.
I started with a Lee Loader in '69 and now have 7, along with my 4 presses, 14 die sets and 1.5 tons of assorted reloading tools. I used my first to load quite a few 38 Specials for mebbe a year before I got a press. I think Lee Loaders are the best thing to come around since smokeless powder...

My Anchor is holding fast!
I started loading with a 20 ga. Lee Loader in 1959. I have no idea how many shells I loaded but it was a bunch.
