    12 groove barrel

Figured I'd put this here, couldn't really figure where it fits. Is there any reason why such would be any less accurate with cast than any other barrel type? Keeping a long story short but got a bud claims his is mucho inaccurate, told him I bet proper fit would solve his problems. He has no clue what I'm getting at so got some teaching to do. Waiting on him to slug his barrel, bet I got some 44's on the shelf that'll solve his troubles.GW

A pretty good read on this topic. You're probably right about a proper fit: as always, slug the bore if you can, a fatter boolit should do the job.

Frequently Microgroove bbls are not always without diameter variations.

I've heard of barrels leaving factory with only one side of barrel rifled. Apparently marrlins QC has suffered the past few years
