    What is This Boolit?

I bought a box of opened bulk 308 JWords from a for sale ad. In the box was what looked like a few odds and ends that seemed to have been tossed in from somebody's attempt to cleanup the workbench.

Included was a boolit of soft lead. 55 cal, roughly. Shown here dwarfing an RCBS 45-255-SWC. Weighs 410 gr. What is it? I do know it will be reincarnated via the Pro Melt soon.

Thanks jimkim! I think you're right. Looks to be for muzzle loaders. One could put about a pint of lube in those grooves.

I have an old T/C single cavity mold for those, but for a .45 Cal T/C Hawken I bought in 1976.

You can or as said just rub your lube of choice in with your finger , bore butter , crisco ect. take your pick
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
