Never thought I'd see one in real life, . . .

Occasionally, I browse my way through the used rack at my local gun store. I hadn't been in there for a couple weeks. I found this on the rack.

The bore looked nice. I was drawn, like a moth to a flame. I was weak.

    The barrel slugged at .308"

I will mainly shoot the Lee soup can and 150, 160 or 170 grain Boolits. Most likely with Unique.
Got any pet, light 788 loads you would like to share?
    Thanks for looking,
    Jeff

Before you criticize another man, you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you'll be a mile away from him, . . . and you'll have his shoes.

1969 model .308 right handed? Bolt is lockable? Those are nice.....I like them because you don't have to lift the bolt as high around your scope. I have a 540X I got through CMP many years ago...fun gun.

That is a nice post 1980 carbine. The straight comb stock and swept bolt handle tells. Nice score! It may be hard to find a load that Won't shoot good. 788's are funny that way.

788's have a great reputation. Wish I could find a nice one that I can afford.

If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
