For those wanting a 1", the barrel tennon is bolted on instead of a wedge.
I'm thinking one could contact either Track or Green Mnt. for this part.

Where did you find a fast twist barrel?

So these barrels are 1:66 or 1:70
I am thinking that be a tad slow for 50 Cal. for best accuracy.
    What do you all think?

Slow twist is for round ball. Accuracy in my .54 is fine.

Not trying to be wise, but define "fine".
I ask because I see guys at the range that if they can keep a group inside a pie plate at 50yds
They consider that good, however in my opinion that is horrible.
I want my BP rifle consistently under 1.5" at 50yds.

    Hello Charlie b,

Track of the Wolf has them. It is a 28" drop in with 1:28 twist.

I have a 50cal GM 1in70 in a TC Hawken .shot it in matches for 12+ years. It will do 1" at 50 yds.
The 3 people a man must be able to trust completely are his gunsmith his doctor & his preacher ..,his gunsmith for his short term health ,his doctor for long term health ,and his preacher incase one of the others mess up.

These GM barrels are reals shooters. I have a 50 and it holds better than I can shoot most days. I do prefer the 32" length. Balances well in the TC stock.
