Those are nice looking. I hope my first batch will turn that nice.

How sturdy are those containers? I just notice that one of my ziplocs has a cracked bottom from the up/down shaking.

    I don’t bother with the bb’s anymore.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

I started my first PC with one of the tall ones. Couldn't figure out how to get the bullets out, so I dumped it in a flat one. Now that l've seen your sifting arrangement, I'll have to get some more "tools"

They are about the same thickness as the ziplock but cheaper.

I haven't found the need to shake the bowl, I swirl for 30 seconds then slowly flip the bowl over twice and I'm good.

Do you get thick spots on the sides, from the pc as it melts and cures, as opposed to standing them on bases ?

I haven't noticed any thick spots when I mic the boolits the measurements are fairly even except at the joint.
I shake/sift off all the excess PC

They look very good. It looks like your method would be quicker than standing every bullet up.
    Nice!

The sift and dump method doesn't work with all PC's or colors. Some PC's have better results with this method than others.

this blue is middle of the road good.

Pretty much exactly as I do it, only I use a Glad bowl and HF Red PC, my separator is an ice cream pail with holes drilled in it. My catch bucket is another ice cream pail, which works slick because the two nest which minimizes the airborne dust. And I don't have one of those nice mesh baking trays, I use non-stick aluminum.

Having to stand bullets up is one of the main reasons I am against PC. This is a tedious enough work as is!!!! I stocked up on a dozen bottles of Johnson's One Step for BLL so I am set for a long time. But your bullets look very good!!

Still need to cook the darn things but it looks like the worst part of the process is addressed. Nice job.

That popcorn separator is slick! Do you know where it came from or the brand name? I haven't found any with the square grid in the bottom like that one. Most have round holes that look like boolits would fall right through. I'm using a plastic colander with some of the holes drilled out big enough for ASBBS and it is difficult to use.

Many that started PC before me said do shake the containers of boolits HARD so I have been. I crack a lot of Rubbermaid containers. I'm using a two cup, snap on lid style. Am I shaking too hard or is there a better container?

With good PC I have gotten a good static coating by swirling only in a #5 container for 30 seconds to 1 min some powders work better with ASBB's.
I roll the container end-over-end a few times when I'm done swirling.

    I can't remember ever breaking a cool whip/butter container.

There are popcorn separators with round holes that have 5/16" holes that should work

this from the dollar tree work for small batches

Also dollar tree for swirling only

    the bowl I use

Maybe someone will have better luck then me finding the name and a retail source for this. I started with the patent number but gave up shortly since I already have one I was feeling lazy

I would guess as your mesh tray builds up with paint, your boolits will start sticking and pulling larger hunks of paint off. That’s what happened to mine so I went back to standing them on their bases.

that hasn't been a problem for me. I shake off all the excess powder before baking. I've used that tray in the picture for many years ( I made 5 of them)

these have the right sized holes 5/16"

    https://www.amazon.com/Kernel-Katche...+kernel+sifter

or DIY sifter bowls from The dollar tree (these bowls are $1 each and they stack so PC and BB's are fought by the bottom bowl after excess PC and BB's are sifted off

drill then sand the bottom smooth

    add boolits and bb's (bb's only )

sift BB's and PC into the bottom bowl
