    Forster Co-ax blues

I've grown weary of my progressive presses and decided to scale down my operation. Did some research and decided that I had to have a Forster Co-ax press to compliment my bench. A little pricey for a single press but not as high as some of my other presses so it was time to order one. Ha HA! not a press anywhere to be found. Is Forster that far behind or are they going out of business. ?

I have seen them out of stock at different times in the past years. Not sure why. I don't see them as a high volume sell. There was a post to a Frankford copy of the Co-Ax that might be available or available soon. I think it had a good review, but don't remember any specifics. Co-Ax presses will be available again, just don't know how long that might be.

be patient, you won't regret it. I found mine in a small gun shop about 25 years ago.....cost $60 if I recall correctly, It was used and covered with grime.

Shop around. I have several single stage presses and one turret so I was able to reload while I was waiting for my Co-Ax to arrive. I am very glad I waited. The Forster Co-Ax is the best press I've used, hands down...

I see that one seller on eBay has 5 of them. $385
I not sure if that's a good price or not. Some sellers will negotiate their prices.

You can put them in your cart at Optics planet but when you order they tell you that it's on "extended backorder"

    Try this guy: https://www.northwestfirearms.com/th...-press.285963/

There is no difference between a Bonanza and Forester co-ax. Parts are interchangeable, I have had mine for over 30 years and it would be the last one to go!

C-dubb, the Co-Ax is obviously an excellent press in some respects but so are others.
With the Co-Ax, seems it's a "love to use it" or "hate to use it" thing and a lot of us do not love it.

Just some personal thoughts for your consideration:
    * I find the ergonomics of that center mounted, straight-out, lever arm equally awkward to use with either hand.
    * Needing those large die lock rings bothers me,
    * so does the (almost) "universal" shell holder thing.
    * RCBS bullet puller type dies are difficult to use on that press.
    * And, if you buy an older used one you may get the original version with the lever yoke that can't clear (my favorite) Forster/Redding micrometer seating dies.

It's your decision, to each his own. IF someone gave me a CoAx I would not throw it away but there's no way I'd ever pay the price for one. I just don't see them as any improvement over several conventional presses.

Demand for the coax is very high, they dont stay in stock very long.
several venders will let you sign up to be notified when a back ordered item becomes available.
I would sign up and when you get the email
    dont wait to order one.
