    Machining for chokes

There is a fella that you mail your barrel to and he machines it to take a choke. Anyone remember who?
    Thanks

I was very pleased with Carlson's work, turn around time and price. They called to verify what I wanted and delivered as promised. Thumbs up!

    Briley does it too:

    and Colonial:

I suspect many gunsmiths provide the service too if there are a lot of shotgunners around the area.

I wish there was one near me! I will be silver soldering an adaptor my barrel.

Good point! I keep meaning to go in there. I thought they were a machine shop that did a bit of gunsmithing but Valley Firearms said they might be able to ream and tap for screw in choke. If not then they said to try an outfit in Kamloops so that means shipping the gun/barrel.

He does both machining and gunsmithing. He is quite good. Cost is about $200 for the threading and you get one tube with it. Give him a call he is very nice guy to deal with. He has a ok selection of firearms, ammo and accessories there as well
