    building an AR15 in 450 BM

    Has anyone used a Polymer lower on a 450 BM upper?
    Are there any polymer lowers to stay away from?

    I have a polymer lower, I don't think I would put a thumper on it, I've used 6.8, 22 Nosler and 300 BO on it and it works well. I have thought about building a thumper but planned on using an aluminum lower. Heck my 22 Nosler I built using a polymer upper (with aluminum insert).

    If you have to have a plastic lower the one with the best chance of holding up and the best track record is the GWACS Armory CAV15. It may not be prettiest but it works. The problem is they are hard to find and currently not in stock anywhere. The company is supposed to be resuming production within the next couple months.
