Pop & plop my 41 mag Henry

I was wearing my ehead phones so the sound of the .41 mag was very quiet. This rifle is the 16.5"
version. The mz vel was 1770. Powder was VN110. The bullet came from an old Mihec .41 group buy. I modified the hp pin to become a cup p0int with a gc. It weighed 212 gr from ww and reclaimed fired bullets. bnh was 12? My son PC them in old copper penny. Distance was 70-80 yards & she was angled toward me more than I realized... I hit her about 4'' back farther than I would have liked. I did not get to dress her so no autopsy. The bullet gave a 40 ish entrance hole above the left leg across and out the back of the right ribs from a quarter size hole.. I have a 1x3x on the rifle so I saw the hit and the dirt it kicked up behind her. She shook and tried to run but was slowing down as she tried to run and after about 80 long steps down she goes. She was a full grown doe. There was a lot of blood from her mouth and nose. This load is very accurate. I also put them up in nickled brass. I really like my Henry.

Caliber 41 is on top of my list also... WE have the 20 inch model Henry and are awaiting the year ILLinois decides rifles are no more dangerous deer hunting than a revolver.

The "middle magnum " is the best one IMO. Pics are requested with deer and rifle featured please!

Nice! Congrats getting it done with a 41 maggie. Im waiting for two 41 caliber group buys to mature so I can do the same with 2 of my 41mag Blackhawks.
