    Gun Show insurance problems

Don't know if anyone has heard, but NRA no longer will provide insurance for Gun Shows.
Seems the carrier, lloyds of london, is pulling out due to anti-gun threats.
NRA is working on it, but is having a hard time finding a replacement carrier.
The anti gun crowed is coming after us.
When are we going to start fighting back????
In hawaii, we are a lost cause.
There is talk of becoming the first state to ban all private firearms.
First step is to have everyone take all firearms to be re-registered every year.

The anti's are chipping away at the foundation of our rights like a beaver chipping away at a tree.
2nd Amend./U.S. Const. - "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

My thoughts include the 2nd Amendment does guarantee our right; ***BUT*** our government appears to have the right to regulate. Note the 1934 NFA; the 1968 GCA; and myriad of additional -- e.g., the Bump- ban recently enacted. More frightening to me, actually, than a "ban", might be legislation which would require ridiculously costly registration and possession "fees" -- of course, to protect the common good of the people. Hey, a one hundred dollar registration fee per firearm, as well as, say, a $25.00 annual fee would not be unconstitutional, while putting firearm ownership out of the financial reach of, at least, persons in my (living off S S retirement cheque) boat. In New York State, under the "SAFE Act" we have to, at least once each five years, register/renew all handguns and pre-Safe Act assault rifles plus large capacity magazines. Again, a GREAT fear I have -- wouldn't take too very much to tack on unfordable to most fees. Sure, we'd still have the right to bear arms... assuming we can still $afford$ this right!

i feel the 1934 and 1968 laws are unconstitutional. the problem is anything is legal that you can convince 5 people its a good idea. recently sotomayor said she didn't care what the law was she felt this way. when people get to decide what the law should be because the way they feel we are in trouble.

This is all very disconcerting, however, here's something I don't understand. The 24th Amendment was ratified to prohibit poll taxes as a way to restrict access to voting. Why is the 2nd Amendment not protected in the same way? Our liberal friends seem to conveniently forget that gun control laws were originally enacted to prevent former slaves from owning firearms. Ed

There may very well come the time when each of us has to decide if we comply with unlawful laws or stand to support the Constitution and the AFFIRMED rights given to you by your CREATOR. Not the government nor the very population itself. So sad to think it may have to happen but Jefferson and the others were very intelligent people.

You mention Jefferson.. Your comment & his mention reminded me of one of his quotes...

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson
2nd Amend./U.S. Const. - "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The 2nd Amendment is crystal clear. "shall not be infringed". A right of the Constitution can only be changed by an amendment. Congress passing a law, signed by the President, and ratified by3/4 of the states. A law by Congress should not be able to change the Constitution.
Therefore the 1934 and 1968 are unconstitutional. The SCOTUS should have struck them down immediately if abidding by the Constitution.
It is when people think they are smarter than our founding fathers we get into trouble.
One fault of our government is 545 people control 300 million when the Constitution is ignored.

I know this is an old saying, but «Outlaw guns and only outlaws will have them. »
