They're named the Bulldog, the Wrath and the compact Diablo 12 gauge double barrel pistols:--->>> https://americanguncraft.com/products/

The Diablo model used #209 primers.

My god, that is the coolest thing I've seen this year. Even better would be to put a full stock on that.

I believe Being black powder it does not fall in the ATF regs for regular guns
just like no FFL required or background check

They look pretty cool. Can't have them in NY without a pistol permit. Technical you can but you can't have a BP pistol & posses any of the components to shoot it.

Someone said no one would ever design an uglier gun than Hi Point. These guys stepped up, and said "Hold my beer."
Butt ugly, you couldn't run fast enough to give me one.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

Noise, fire, and smoke-a-plenty, but why?
I think there are better ways to spend $500...

I don't feel the need for one but the Diablo is kind of cute. Like a bulldog, a face only a mother could love

The price of a 20 gauge Pedersoli Howda Hunter is $699 at Cabela's.
These guns are 12 gauge and can save a person a lot of money in part by not needing to pay for a lot of fancy wood, since their stocks are composite.
Perhaps the Pedersoli is worth a king's ransom, or perhaps not.
But if folks in the USA want to hunt for turkey with a black powder hand gun, then I think that they would rather use a 12 ga. than a 20 ga. any day.
Especially considering the difference in price @ $445 minus $25 off as promoted on the company website.
$420 is 60% of the cost of the Pedersoli.

Butt ugly or not and they are by the way I don't want to shoot a 12 ga anything in a handgun even if it is black powder . It's painful for me just thinking about it .
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

The original howdah pistols were made for protection from dangerous game, especially tigers.

A howdah is the name of the carriage that is placed on the back of an elephant to carry passengers
which were usually wealthy people in India where tigers were a threat to attack.

The pistol was a last ditch means of protection for when a tiger would approach and get ready to
leap up and attack. It was intended to be used at very close range to save the lives of the people
by incapacitating the tiger as quickly as possible.

That's why they call it a howdah pistol, because it has 2 barrels of powerful loads to protect
those who ride in a howdah from being attacked by the most dangerous of predators.

It's not much different than a buggy rifle, a blanket gun or a blunderbuss which serves the
same basic purpose of short range protection in a small, handy package.

Sheesh. For all the useless junk people are into, on this site especially, I can't believe all the negativity on what appears to be a quality firearm made in the USA. And comparing the looks to a Hipoint? You might need to clean off the glasses.

I am confused why what appears to be a new company is sinking their teeth into a howda pistol. If they made a real SXS shotgun, I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough.

Real hand cannons. My wrist hurts just looking at them. Maybe made for younger guys than me.

I wonder how long until someone try’s smokeless in one?

Real howdah pistols from days gone by are fine. Purposeful and generally elegantly made and proportioned. These are not.
