    Jackets or cups

What is the best way to go about counting jackets? I bought a few from rce when he still had them and they are in various sealed bags but don’t have quantities on them.

Hi. It depends how precise you want to be. If you want accurate, by-piece count is the way to go, if you're looking for pretty close, then weigh counting is a good option. I'd recommend counting out 100, weigh them on a metric capable scale in grams, then weigh the whole bag. Divide the weight of the bag by the weight of the measured count, then multiply by the measured quantity. That'll get you pretty close. Hope this helps.

Contendernut ; I have a scale that you put in a sample amount and then dump the batch in and it gives you a count, I use it all the time on counting brass, quite accurate. They do not cost that much, I got mine off of ebay.

I also use a counting scale. Got mine off Amazon. Not very pricey. Very accurate as well.

What Redleged said, simple and it works. This is the method I use for all my jacket/ core counting. Jackets are a pretty close weight so you will be very accurate in your count. When there are variables like brass cases which can vary considerably, then small errors will come into play.
the only issue I have is having a scale of the correct capacity. Sometimes I have to break it down into smaller batches so the scale does not error out.
