    .38 Atomic

Years ago I read about a .38 Special round that was loaded for the .38/44 called the .38 Atomic. Yeah, I know, sounds like a SciFy creation. Anyway I was wondering if anyone else knew about this round, what the load was and would it be safe to use in a Ruger GP100 in .357 Mag or its rival the S&W 686?
Listen! Do you hear it. The roar of cannons, the screams of the dying! Ahh! Music to my ears!

I couldn't find much, other than a failed attempt to compete with the .357 Magnum.
There was an "Atomic" brand of +P 38 ammunition loaded with wadcutters.
Warning: I know Judo. If you force me to prove it I'll shoot you.

Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.

It was the first attempt to use fission (nuclear) to propel bullets at higher speeds, none of the developers are around today.

The idea was a failure mostly because Doc Brown absconded with all the available plutonium for his Delorean.
