    SHELLPLATE... Help identify.... Please

    Attachment 233149Attachment 233151

I got this from a friend but don't know what brand press it fits.

A 357 case fits snug in the slots.

The numbers mean What? 1,2,3, and 5?

I am familiar with Dillon but this is a stranger to me.

    Thanks

You might have better luck posting this in "Reloading Equipment" rather than Casting and Reloading Hand Tools." It's more likely somebody who recognizes it would be reading that forum if they don't read all of them. Just a thought.

Looks like an older Dillon 550 shell plate to me.

After further search...because I'm bored...it appears to be part# 16610 Universal Shellplate according to: http://www.dillonprecision.com/docs/AT500v3p3.pdf

The 1,2,3,5 or the shell plate numbers it can do. #1 can do things based off the 30-06...like the 45ACP #2 can do 38/.357 stuff. #3 can do 5.56 and 380auto.... #5 can do 9mm/40S&W....

So that one shell plate can get you on your way to reloading before you invest in caliber specific plates.

Don't like being hammered by the Cast Boolits Staff, then don't be a nail.
The rules are simple to follow.

B2Lee.... you hit the nail on the head...… Thanks everyone for your responses.... I must admit that when I first saw the numbers on the plate , I automatically assumed it was from a different manufacture... when I fitted a 357 case to it … I just did one position…. Since I have all the mentioned shell plates I see little need for it. I guess I should contact the previous owner and see if he included it by mistake. Again ... I thank everyone for their time in helping me.
