I size down 460 - 452 but I do it right after I'm done casting when they are still soft. Even then sometimes it can be a strain

I am downsizing a soft 458 cast bullet first with a .454 then a .451 for use in a 43 Egyptian rolling block. Those guns supposedly are fired with a .448 lead bullet, but what I do works, so I am good.

In steps, with push thru I have been successful going from 324 down to 317 for 303 with good accuracy.

Does anyone have any experience with powder coat and substantial resizing afterward?

For one of my powder coated loads I size .006 difference in two steps without any damage to the PC

I use the NOE sizer and try to keep no more than .002 increments. Some bullets I have go through 4 passes. One thing I've noticed is that the forcing cone on the NOE is much shorter than the Lee, meaning that the NOE accomplishes it's sizing much faster and in a shorter stroke, which makes it harder to size in greater increments.
