    PU Sniper with 311407 Lee Group buy

    it's an.authentic refurbed by Molot 91/30 sniper
    first load tried is a winner ( 14g trailboss and a .311 sized 311407 Lee 6 cavity gb mold) this was the best group 1.65" at 100 but others since usually about 2" .at 200 yards still holding sub 2 moa.its challenging with the heavy trigger,low power scope and lack of raised cheek.to shoot well though.im a happy boy.

    her name is lyudmila, lady death.

    Just got done with the am shoot did a little scope adjustment to get zeros at 100 and 200 yards here is the one 100 yard group and two 200-yard groups. It may not be a match rifle but I really can't complain shooting the gun bone stock at the accuracy I'm getting

    i have 4 PUs , several PEM's and PEs, plus a 1928 Tula GeKo and they are all excellent shooters, never tried cast thru any of them, but might after seeing this. where did you get the mold?

    i have a NOE 311365 that i beagled and it drops abt 313 and 202g with my alloy that i was gonna try in some of my non sniper mosins to play with

    id prob use unbeagled ones for the snipers if i tried them, but i was figuring for the more "experienced" ones like some of m91s or older 91/30s just to plink with, i also was gonna try some of the lee 155s in them too

    I've got 20 (36, just counted) or so Mosins I never seem to shoot. Recently got all the reloading dies brass and such and have a few good moulds to try. Just need time now. Have a Finn model 24 that shoots factory ammo really well, I suspect it could be a top notch cast shooter too. Nice shooting, I'm getting more inspired to load some 7.62x54r and cast. I have at least slugged all bores so have an idea where to start. (-:}

    I have had good luck with the Lee 310, 170gr flat round nose, unsized tumble lube with lee alox, and 15 gr of Unique. Shoots a ragged hole at 50 yds, and around 1.5 inch groups at 100 yds with open sights. This is out of a mint bore Sako and a Tikka, both shoot great. I have a mismatched parts gun, new Russian, shoots about 3.0 at 100yds with same load. The Tikka is a SKY, homeguard that the owner had to pay to have a better barrel put on, the trigger and action slicked up. It was shame the previous owner had put it in a synthetic stock, with sling and bipod on it, but may have helped with the shooting I have since obtained an original stock, just need some barrel bands to put it back authentic.
