I think I’ve replaced it only once, because it was a little beat up looking. Seems like it came with 1-2 extras and i called S&W and they sent me 4-5 more for free. Personally I’d think brass wouldn’t be much of a buffer. I took apart my Buckmark for a deep clean recently. It had a plastic buffer in it too but I’ve not replaced it yet. It was bought later so doesn’t have as many rounds through it yet.

Did you buy it from a feller from Northern Michigan? I sold one for 100 bucks just so I would not have to see it sitting in my safe any longer. Truthfully..............I would have accepted $75. Anything less than that and I would have gotten more enjoyment watching it melt under an oxy/acetylene flame. Did i forget to mention I don't have much love for the 22A?

I had one for about a year. Traded it , almost NIB, for a 22/45 Still have the 22/45.

Thinking seriously about getting a 22/45. Don’t need one but I do like the look of the short bbl colored lightweight housings with the slots milled in them. Sharp looking .22s.

Went to the Raleigh gun show today and handled a few 22/45s. Found an OD Mk IV for 480.00 but didn’t jump. Maybe next time. I do like the idea of a .22 suppressor after shooting my buds mosquito with a can. Neat toy.
